Response guidelines

Your teachers will provide this information very soon.

If you are over 900 this is for you!

'900 what?' you ask?

We have recently implemented the Lexile program for Year 7, and while this is working well for many readers, we have a significant number of students who will read our 1000+ titles in a very short time.

So here is an opportunity for these students to read something else during Lexile classes and to provide a response instead of quiz.

How does it work?

  • Read a book from the growing list in the archive list. These books do not have lexile levels but will include books that will appeal to you and be appropriate for your reading level. (This list is created from suggestions from you, your teachers and Mrs Radford. Keep the suggestions coming!)
  • Read the review guidelines, then prepare your responseand add it in the comments field of your title.
  • Sign your posts with your teacher's last name and your initials. If I was in Mrs Radford's class and I was called Janine Peters, I would sign as RadfordJP.
  • Take time to prepare your response as this will be your 'quiz'.
  • All posts will be moderated and will not appear in the blog straight away.
  • Your teacher will provide you with feedback.
  • We have a very short list at the moment, so tell your teacher or Mrs Radford which books would be good to add to our list.
